Terms of Service
By using Gleam, you accept these terms.
1. Who can use it
- You must be over 13.
- If you are 13–17, parental/guardian consent is required.
- You may have a single personal account.
- False information (fake name, fake date of birth) is grounds for account closure.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for the security of your email and password.
- If you notice a suspicious sign-in, write to help@yougleam.app.
- You may not transfer or sell your account to anyone.
3. Your content
The "moments", capsules, manifests and chat messages you share are yours.
To be able to provide the service, you grant a limited, free, non-transferable license: to store your content on our servers, display it, and show it to others (according to your sharing settings).
When you delete your account, the license ends.
4. Prohibited behavior
You promise that you will not do the following:
- Harassment, threats, humiliation
- Hate speech (race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, disability)
- Sexual content (especially any material involving children — zero tolerance)
- Doxxing (sharing someone's personal information without consent)
- Spam, commercial advertising, link stuffing
- Fraud, impersonation
- Attacking the service's technical infrastructure (bots, scraping, DDoS, exploits)
- Any content contrary to the law
A violation results in suspension or permanent closure of your account.
5. Capsule and bond special rules
- Capsule: Content you write to the future may not contain unlawful intent affecting the future (threats, harassment).
- Bond chat: Content shared in the 24h private window may not be taken outside without the other party's consent (including screenshots).
6. Reports and moderation
Any content or user can be reported via the in-app ... menu.
Our team reviews within a reasonable time. Emergencies (suicide/self-harm/violence) take priority.
Blocking: you can block a user with one tap.
7. Crises
Gleam is not therapy or a crisis line.
Türkiye: 182 (Ministry of Health, 24/7), 112 (Emergency), Suicide Prevention Association: 0212 458 66 67. Outside Türkiye: findahelpline.com.
8. Provision of the service
- The service is provided "as is".
- It is not guaranteed to run uninterrupted or error-free.
- There may be interruptions for maintenance/updates.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gleam:
- is not liable for indirect/incidental/consequential damages
- is not a party to disputes between users
10. Deleting your account
You can delete it anytime from settings. All data is permanently erased within 30 days.
11. Changes to the terms
We announce significant changes at least 14 days in advance (in-app + email).
12. Disputes
Governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Competent courts: Istanbul courts.
13. Service provider
Bilal Uğur Yayla (individual project), Istanbul, Türkiye.
